· Project included
implementing SAP BI 7 Custom Reporting Solution for the US Army Logistics
(includes BI reporting capabilities for Customer and Vendor and all the
associated components-This is all Classified).
· Solution included
sourcing data from external and internal partners via SAP Workflow (ABAP
Tables), MDM and SAP XI as basic sources of data input. Utilizing Generic SAP
BI extractors and SAP Web Services/Proxies from XI to BI (pushing data into
BI-PSA via ABAP function modules) and then sourcing data into the BI DSO’s to
populate data for further processing via BI for reporting needs. Once data
has been normalized and placed into subject Info-Cubes/Multiproviders.
Reports are delivered via query designer using BI 7 Broadcasting. All reports
and the presentation layer are delivered via the SAP Portal (EP 6.0).
· In addition to the
Customer and Vendor solution also designed, developed and implemented the BAM
(Business Activity Management) solution. Establish/set-up SAP BI 7 Data
Integration with SAP BusinessObjects Edge BI.This solution monitors tactical
activity points from the standpoint of delivering quality service to the
trading partners.
· Managed a team of 5
BI and XI developers along with making presentation to the client for gate
reviews and approval checkpoints (SDLC deliverables - SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, PRR
and go-live).
· Initially this
project was started as an IOC (Initial Operating Capability) for BI per PLM+.
This proof of concept was delivered via SAP Netweaver BI 7 and SAP
BusinessObjects XI 3.1(using Universe Designer, Xcelsius, and WEBI. Worked
with Basis to set-up both the BI server and the Enterprise portal from
scratch (set-up BEx reporting to interface with the Portal i.e. Java and ABAP
interaction using BI Java Template installer).Also set-up change management
(promote technical objects from source system to destination system i.e. Dev,
Qas and Prod) per the SAP BI and BusinessObjects landscape using SAP TMS and
LCM (Life Cycle Manager) for BusinessObjects.

of concept was delivered on time; project development was approved and
